Frequently Asked & Question

The ideal time for the Chardham Yatra is from May to mid-October. The temples open in summer and remain closed during winter due to heavy snowfall. The best months for smooth travel are May, June, September, and early October.

The yatra is not very hard, but it does involve some trekking — especially at Yamunotri and Kedarnath. Most of the journey is by road, and our team arranges ponies, palkis, or even helicopter options if you prefer.

We provide clean and comfortable hotels or guesthouses with basic facilities. Every stay is handpicked by our local team to make sure you get good rest and a peaceful environment.

Yes, the package includes morning and night meals throughout the yatra. We serve simple and pure vegetarian food to keep your journey healthy and sattvik.

Absolutely. Many devotees above 60 years complete this yatra every year. We take extra care of elderly travelers by offering flexible schedules, easy transportation, and assistance during the trek.

Carry warm clothes, comfortable shoes, raincoat, flashlight, woolen cap, gloves, and basic medicines. The weather can change quickly in the mountains, so it’s best to be well-prepared.

Most routes are now well-built by the government. However, since it’s a hilly area, there can be sharp turns and narrow patches. Our experienced local drivers ensure a safe and smooth ride at every step.

Yes, helicopter services are available from Sersi, Guptkashi, and Phata to Kedarnath. We can help you book helicopter tickets in advance to make your journey easier and faster.

Networks work fine in most areas like Barkot, Uttarkashi, and Joshimath. However, at Kedarnath or Yamunotri, the signal can be weak. It’s good to inform your family before reaching remote zones.

Because we are locals of Uttarakhand — not just travel agents. Every route, temple, and dharmshala is known personally by our team. Under the guidance of Mr. Vicky Rawat, Yatra Explore offers heartfelt care, honest prices, and a genuine spiritual experience that feels like traveling with family.
